Swatches in the snow

We’ve had a nice long fall here in Anchorage, but we finally got our first real snowfall today, which finally prompted me to get my act together and photograph the nail polish swatches I spent all last week working on. The fresh snow ended up being the perfect backdrop for all those swatch wheels. Visit Swatches in the Snow to browse the Below Freezing Beauty nail polish library — and find it easily anytime you visit the site by clicking the “Swatches in the Snow” tab at the top of the page. I’ll update it periodically as I accumulate new colors (and track down a couple I know I’m missing... like where is my China Glaze Classic Camel?), although I suppose I’ll have to wait for fresh snow to take new photos!

Photographing nail polish is tricky... not all of the colors show up true to life, and some are a little overwhelming with or without the flash. (Like those China Glaze Poolside neons. Yeow.) If you have questions about any of the swatches, feel free to e-mail me.
